See what we’re gettin’ into!
Our full length, self-titled debut album!
Born in Estes Park, Colorado, in the sun and shadows of the Rocky Mountains, Ain't From Here is an up and coming band dedicated to bringing beautiful country music to the masses. The "fellas from 'round the way" have dubbed their sound "American Blue Dirt" and mix heartfelt lyrics with smooth harmonies to tell stories of life, love, heartache, and moving on. The style is a clever mix of Texas honky tonk, Red Dirt, and Colorado Bluegrass while hints of blues and soul breathe through to approach the listener from every angle. The band has performed for audiences in 6 states and has radio play in several states but calls Larimer County, Colorado home and enjoys meeting new friends and neighbors through music.
Chris has been writing music ever since his father bought him a guitar and taught him 3 chords. Among his favorite musical memories, Chris recalls his grandmother singing gospel music, his siblings excelling on trombone and saxophone, and two stepping with his friends in a small Texas town.
Chris is a native of Richmond, Tx. He picked up the bass out of necessity, in order to make Ain't From Here a reality.
Jeremy has been in a love affair with music from a very early age when his father played in a country band called Wildfire and was a sound man and manager for popular North Texas bands. He hails from Sherman, Texas and has strong country music roots. Early influences were the likes of Willie Nelson and Michael Martin Murphy. Throughout the years, Jeremy dabbled in a lot of different kinds of music including Rock, Jazz, Hip-Hop, and EDM before finally settling back into his first love, Country music.
Braydon was born and raised in the bustling metropolis of Columbus, Kansas where he spent his younger years involved in several short-lived musical projects. After a move to Norfolk, Virginia, the band “Wasted Presley” was formed and played numerous shows in the Hampton Roads area. Along with this group, Braydon also played numerous gigs and recorded a couple of studio albums with the band “Mack Against the Wall”. An apartment fire put an end to the momentum and Braydon played solo shows for about a year before moving to Fort Collins, Colorado. Here, he would record another album with the group “Hand Me Down Roses” before joining “Ain’t From Here”.
Phil has been musical since his childhood in Northern Minnesota, where he grew up watching his dad play upright and electric bass locally as a live and studio player. By the age of 18 he was making rent fronting a rock band with his father. In 2010 Phil took up the pedal steel guitar and changed his musical destiny. He now lends his sound to several local projects and is especially excited to be playing pedal steel with “Ain’t From Here”!
